Due to all the hype, I finally got Nars sheer glow foundation. The verdict? It's a'ight ... It's a good foundation and all but not amazing like how everyone says. Also the color selection is a bit lacking? I bought the shade in "ceylan" but that was a bit too yellow and the next shade down, which is "deauville" is a bit too light.

Ok, I just went to sephora.com to check the spelling of deauville and I found out there's "fiji" which is a shade just between those two. I did not see that at the store and frankly I'm a bit mad about that. Should I go exchange it or what? I guess ceylan is ok since the summer is coming and I'll just look a bit bronzed for now. Which I have to add that I'm in love with putting bronzer in my morning routine. It's amazing what a little can do to warm up your face.

And I guess, I'm a failure at project 10 pan. Maybe next time ...

Project 10 pan (update)

Utterly failed!

I was doing pretty good but I passed by Lush since I had some time to pass and the sales lady talked me into trying out their bar shampoos :(( and I picked up a bottle of flying fox shower gel because I miss it so much. It makes me happy after a stressful day so I justified it. No reason not to get it if it makes me happy, right? yea, thought so!

I'm going to keep doing this P10 pan though. No more buying, promise!

& this gorillaz album makes me happy. Pick up your copy of Plastic Beach today :D

Project 10 pan

I have my headphones on full blast, trying to block out the noise around me. Feeling a bit bored right now. Cleaned out some things and sanitized my desk ... fun times.

I've been hearing about this project 10 pan thing and I might want to join in but I don't know which 10 products to choose from? I don't have that much make up but I do have a lot of skin care products and hair stuff that I need to use/throw away. Also, a bag of sample products that I should try as well.

So here's my list from the top of my head:

1) Rusk shampoo & conditioner. Can't remember the exact name but it's for colored hair. Picked it up a couple months ago and initially didn't like it. I've been using it the past week and thought it wasn't that bad.

2) Shiseido softener from the Elixir line. I don't use it with a cotton ball, rather I use Chizu Saeki's method to make a lotion mask.

3) Clean & clear foaming face wash. The purple bottle. Picked it up on a whim cause I needed a face wash that removed makeup. I don't love it but it gets the job done.

4) Bobbi brown creamy concealer. This one I hit the pan on already but it still has loads of product left on the edge! I might purchase again because it really is a good product but I want to try something new already.

5) Snow fairy shower gel from Lush. Seriously, gotta finish at least ONE bottle. I got 3 full size bottles of this stuff during the holiday sale + some bar soaps that I haven't even touched. Been too busy using snow fairy and flying fox (which I'm almost done with) .

Alright, let's just end it with 5 products. 5 is a good number to start for a first timer. Project 5 pan, yea? I'll do a proper update with pictures next time. Just really need to clear out some things before I should buy more. Such a vicious cycle, lol..

Lush stuff

I had no idea that Lush was having this amazing sale - buy one get TWO free off their holiday stuff and the same with their soaps. So of course I had to get something, even though I'm trying to be good for the new years and only buying what I need. oops!

I got 3 bottles of the snow fairy shower gel- smells like cotton candy! like sweet sweet sugar :) and I also got two porridge soaps and the alkmaar (jasmine+vanilla scent) ... the porridge soap smells like honey and oats, really nice scent! Probably one of my favorites besides honey I washed the kids. Also got a bottle of flying fox shower gel- LOVE!

I've never tried snow fairy before but if it's good, I might go back and stock up and will def. pick up some more soaps!

MSF naturals

I gave into the hype of MAC's MSF natural in light medium and it made me break out! Not one or two zits, but SIX. Two on the forehead, one on each side of the cheek and two on the chin. I haven't broken out this bad since I was 18 lol. It's too bad because I really wanted to like this ... but it really is too sheer to use it as a foundation, which was what I initially wanted to use it as. I guess it's time to order more Everyday Minerals, the only mineral foundation that hasn't broke me out!

first post

So I've decided to start up a blog again. This time to post about my obsessions and other things ... mostly it will consist of beauty, food, travels, photography, and maybe some art pieces I will be working on. Of course my random thoughts as well if I'm near a computer and or my cellphone.

Going to keep it short so that will be it for now.
